The Saga Continues

Oh Em Gee! You would not believe all it took to get these documents authenticated by the probate! Great thing I found a notary in the state Department of Education (thanks to my principal and her connects). Bad part: her bond is in a neighboring county. I contact the other county's probate office and was informed they  close at 4 o'clock. It was 3:20! The lovely lady who notarized my degrees wasn't found in the notary system in my county! Sweet Candace (the lady at the probate office) took down my information and promised to look a little further into the notary's information, as she was showing in the system for a host of other things. I was so sure on my way to the neighboring county I'd get a speeding ticket (I didn't). I made it with 10 minutes to spare! I pay the six dollars to get my two documents authenticated. You will never believe that Candace called me back! She found the notary's information and they didn't close until five. I headed back to my local probate office receive the authentication letters for those documents and pay the four dollars. Unfortunately it was too late for me to go to the Secretary of State. :(

Tomorrow's the big day I'll take these documents downtown to the Secretary of State's office and hopefully right there on the spot, I can get them authenticated! THEN and only then I'll be able to move on to the real step two! Oh goodness what a day! I was cute as I accomplished these goals! I'll take a half day tomorrow to get it all taken care of!

I hope I'll actually get a full night's sleep tonight (I was up at 3:30am for some odd reason). Until next time!
