Continuing on With Life....

On my planning period last week, the ninth grade science teacher asked me to "cover" his class while he went to make copies. The issue is he never asks for coverage to the teacher's workroom. I've seen my juniors walking around with the big red banner all week and they'd never let me see it. I knew something was up, I decided to play along. He then decided instead of watching his class, I should come down to the workroom with him. When I finally made it back to my classroom, This happened!

Here's what the sign said:

Class of 2016 may just be my favorite! They all signed the banner, and had cupcakes with purple frosting, hot wings, my favorite Golden Flake Sweet Heat BBQ chips, and drinks. It was a nice send off before exams week.

So I've decided to tackle my last major things to do....set up my Roth IRA, determine my travel bags, and finally figure what to do with my recently leased vehicle.

I thought it was going to be a headache to set up the Roth, but I got it done in under 20 minutes!

I looked into turning in my car back to the dealership from where I purchased it. They are interested in buying it from me, especially since its a 2LTZ Turbo 14 Malibu with all the bells and whistles (top of the line, for me!). But because the lease is just a little over a year old, I'd still have a balance. Car Max is about 90 miles away, so I don't want to drive for bad news. I called, and was directed to the Kelly Blue Book site to get an estimate on my car's worth. Either way I decide, I'll have a balance. So I think I may just keep it for the remainder of the lease. And I'd have some wheels when I come home. OR I can just wait until I come home for Christmas and look into turning it in then, since it would have low milage and I'd be half way through my lease term. I just don't want to pay insurance on something that's not being used (another item to add to my to-do list--contact my auto insurance and inquire about a reduction).

I've been looking for a great traveling bag...you know small enough to be a personal item (not a carry-on) but big enough to hold the world, and wont weigh me down! In the ADEC group everyone is looking at these huge utility type backpacks. They aren't conducive to my petite frame. I've been looking at these beautiful bags from Lo and Sons!
Look at what all fits inside!
This Lo & Sons OMG bag is freaking amaze-balls! AND they're on sale for Memorial Day (up to 30% off). Its so fashionable, and cute, and petite (just like me)!

I like this Coach bag, but the compartments just doesn't compare!

Onto other awesome news: Tuesday is my official last work day! School's out for summer!! I have plans to visit Florida, North Carolina, Atlanta (of course since my friend is leaving next week) and New York before my departure! I'm Uber excited! I'm still taking this journey one day at a time!
