And the Wait Continues

I'm still waiting on my documents to be processed by the DoS. I've read posts saying there's a major back log due to the inclement weather. I check on the documents maybe once or twice a week. I usually miss the office as I've been so busy with getting grades together and planning Junior-Senior Prom. Monday starts the last quarter for the year!!! And Friday 3:16p starts Spring Break!

Well for me SB starts Friday at 10:00a. I'll be FINALLY having my wisdom teeth extracted (great way to kick of SB, huh?). I'm also excited for SB week becaaauuuuusseee.....This will be my view for 4 days!
Yes, you guessed it! I'll be vacationing in Egypt! I just hope my mouth heals up enough for me to eat all the deliciousness waiting my arrival! Isn't this picture beautiful?! Go follow andreafoltraninteriores on Instagram, her images are always amazing, and she's a foodie too!!

Everyone's talking about packing, selling, and getting affairs in order. I'm just going about life in a haze. For me, it still isn't officially official until I receive my visa, maybe not even then....the plane ticket. Nope, it'll be when mommy sees me off at the airport, and we cry...hard, ugly cries! Of course I'll start packing when I receive my visa though!

My friend who's already over there is cracking the whip, "You need to bring an extra suitcase to Egypt with the stuff you want for here, I'll keep it in my spare room. You know your supplies and such."  Wait, what? Hello? Ummm....oookay? LOL She just wants me to bring the million and one items she's been ordering, and requesting: dresses, swimsuits, cardigans, pillowcases, Girl Scout cookies....

I have gone to Dollar Tree and purchased a few items: bullying pledge cards, positive reinforcement posters, science words, coupons for good behavior, or answering a question correctly (LOTS of those), stickers, and pencils. I'm going to go back and purchase the passes, they had hall, bathroom, and office passes. My friend advised to purchase 2 or 3 of each as the kids leave them in the restrooms, or just flat out lose them. She informed me there's a laminating machine there, so I won't worry about doing that yet. I have a birthday list already in my current classroom, I'll bring that, and ALL of my purple and zebra print supplies (stapler, kleenex box cover, Post-It note dispenser, shoe tape dispenser, etc.).
I guess I'm a little on the lucky side, I know exactly what school I'll be teaching and the grade level already. It is great having friends there! Another friend will be purchasing some Expo markers, Sharpies and such for me. She's finally coming around to the idea of me leaving, even though her eyes still get "dusty" at the mention of it!

Well I've procrastinated long enough....back to grading these papers...I hope to not have ridiculously large classes next year! I love all 186 of my babies, but I hate grading 186 assignments (ok really it's 93 assignments, as they worked in pairs)!
